Given its ecological role and importance as a marine resource, «Illex coindetii» has been the focus of scientific research since the beginning of the 20th century. For this reason, to support the sustainability of its exploitation and to understand how environmental changes and anthropic pressure can affect its dynamics, the estimation of biological and population parameters is crucial. Therefore, the objective of this Master’s thesis is to provide an updated overview of the biological and population parameters of Illex coindetii in the context of bottom trawling along Catalan coast.
